PHETE Majors' Club
The PHETE Majors' Club is a student organization for pre-professionals who wish to become Health and Physical Education teachers. They are officially recognized by Student Affairs as the professional club at Temple University dedicated to promoting all things relevant to teaching Health and Physical Education.
Each year the PHETE Club programs activities around professional development such as attending the PSAHPERD convention, Special Olympics, North Philly Sleep Over, PAHPERD workshops, etc. They engage in philanthropic outreach such as the Walk for MS, Toys for Tots, Santa's Helpers, etc. The Club also supports social activities such as alumni welcomes at conventions, tailgates before football games, intramural entries, etc. The Club works hard to program well rounded activities to help support and promote the profession and its professionals.
Elections are held each November for a President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, PSAHPERD SAC Rep, and Temple SAC Rep. The officers serve one year terms.
