Sophomore Coursework
Sophomores receive a foundation or overview of the entire program through six, one credit courses (3 fall and 3 spring) designed to familiarize students with the whole of teaching. Experiences in teaching physical education through classroom instruction and in-school micro-teaching episodes allow students to apply that which they are learning with real world experiences. Basic movement activities afford students the fundamental movement experiences and foundational knowledge to create developmentally appropriate experiences for their students. Intro to teachng health familiarizes students with instructional strategies for developing health content and helping students to make consructive decisions.
